PCVision
By Coreco Imaging

Checkout principle's homepage

PCVision is a half-slot PCI bus image capture board designed specifically for price sensitive OEMs developing machine vision applications. Able to handle inputs from a large variety of industrial inspection, identification, and gauging applications, the PCVision board can interface with standard interlaced (RS-170, CCIR) or progressive scan (VGA) cameras.

Unique to PCVision is 2 MB of on-board VRAM memory for buffering image data between the camera and host PC system. This feature, something you won't find in other low-cost machine vision boards, allows image transfers over the PCI bus that are 10 times faster than competitors. This allows for simultaneous acquisition and processing of data. The on-board memory also assures that image information will not be lost during transfer to system memory.

PCVision supports external trigger, strobes and frame reset capabilities. A 16-bit digital I/O interface for communicating results to control devices is built on-board.

PIXCI-SV4
By Epix

Checkout principle's homepage

The PIXCI SV4 imaging board, for the PCI bus, is designed to take advantage of the power of the host computer. Applications which were once restricted by limited memory or processing power can now be easily accomplished with the PIXCI SV4 board and a compatible PCI computer. pixci-sv.gif (50994 bytes)

Key Features

PIXCI-D

The PIXCI D imaging board is factory programmed to interface to your particular model of digital output camera. Install the board, attach the interface cable between the board and camera, and run your imaging software - that's all there is to it!

The digital connection provides cleaner images and greater dynamic range. Use of the camera's pixel clock eliminates jitters. PIXCI D captures image sequences, at the camera's video rate, to the limit of your computer's memory. EPIX software is available as DLLs, C-function libraries, or as a full-featured interactive image capture, display, examination, processing, measurement, printing, and archiving program.

Picolo is a very low-cost PCI frame grabber optimized for single camera applications. It supports the acquisition and the real-time transfer of full resolution color images or sequences of images to the PC memory. Picolo captures one or two composite video signals and one S-Video signal. The square-pixel resolution (640 x 480 or 768 x 576) is achieved at full frame rate (30 or 25 fps).

Picolo is the ideal frame grabber for cost-sensitive applications in the fields of machine vision, access control, x-ray inspection.

PX-610
By CyberOptics Semiconductor

Checkout principle's homepage

The PX610 offers full support for non-interlaced video from progressive scan cameras, which eliminates blur seen in images of fast-moving objects captured by standard CCD cameras. In addition to non-interlaced video, the PX610 supports standard RS-170/CCIR video and resettable cameras. Acting as a bus master, it handles data transfers while the main CPU is free to run other parts of your application or other applications. Image data can be transferred to a buffer in main memory or directly to another PCI device. The PX610 accepts up to four video inputs and can select the active source under software control.

As a plug and play-compliant device, the PX610 automatically configures itself when installed in a computer with a Plug and Play BIOS.

M-Vision 1000
By MuTech Corporation

Checkout principle's homepage

The M-VISION 1000 (MV-1000) is a single slot video digitiser board for the PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) bus. The MV-1000 digitises standard or non-standard analog camera video into 8 bits per pixel at rates up to 40 million samples per second. An optional 10 bit version is available for ultra high quality video applications. The digitised video is stored in on-board VRAM or transferred in real time to system memory and/or the VGA card for display. Up to four cameras may be attached to a single MV-1000.
